Timber

The deceptive artifact, known to stalkers as Timber, initially appears to be an ordinary piece of wood. However, scientists from the artifactology department of Research Institute 7 discovered that it is composed of a previously unrecorded allotrope modification of carbon.\n\nAccording to Professor Brusenko, studying this material could bring humanity closer to creating a space elevator if it can be synthesized on an industrial scale.\n\nWhile scientists are still investigating the artifact's nature, stalkers have already found an unusual use for it. Timber continuously emits fume, which is perfect for smoking mutant meat.
